Apple has sold 2 million iPhone 5’s in the first 24 hours that it was made available to pre-order.  Estimates are they could sell as many as 170 million units in the coming years.  This could be the biggest consumer electronic launch in history!!!!!!  More than the TV…PC…VCR….anything!

 So what does all this mean?  It’s pretty simple:  give the consumer what they really want and money becomes no object.  Speaking of money.  170 million units at lets just say…..$600 each….is around $85 billion in sales.  Not bad for two guys who started Apple Inc. in garage.  But even more crazy is the thought of what the future may bring.  The technology of the phone is changing so quickly….many futurists predict our cell phone’s will actually be chips implanted on our heads!  All you would do is think about calling someone and it would happen.  Somewhere the Terminator is smiling.
