Citing a lack of priests and dwindling parishioners, The Diocese of Steubenville announced plans to consolidate several catholic churches.  WTOV9.com reports some of the mergers will take place by the end of June, while other churches will merge when the current pastors' assignment terms expire. In all, 13 churches will ultimately close.  The largest effect of the plan will be felt in Belmont County.  The Diocese of Steubenville includes 13 counties.
