A 53-year-old woman has been arrested after police say she intentionally hit two teenagers with her vehicle in Weirton.
Our news partner WTOV9.COM reports Theresa Ann Hall is charged with numerous charges including two counts of malicious assault, and single counts of disorderly conduct, reckless driving and public intoxication.
Weirton police say they responded to a disturbance call Monday night. The call came from the 200 block of Owings Street, but officials say the incident happened in a back alley nearby.
Police say two boys, who are around 15 years old, went to a house on Owings Street looking for a friend. The mother of the friend – Hall -- allegedly became upset when she told the teens her son wasn't home. The teens then left and Hall, who officials say was intoxicated, allegedly chased them in her vehicle and struck them. Police say the boys suffered minor scrapes.
Weirton Police Chief Bruce Marshall says the investigation is ongoing.
