WTOV9.COM reports Joe and Sherry Schafer each face one count of cruelty after investigators found an emaciated dog in their possession at their Holloway home back in March.
Both were present at their pretrial hearing, but Joe Schafer asked for a continuance because of a newly appointed counsel. His attorney says she needed time to review the case. Sherry Schafer waived her pretrial and her trial has been scheduled for later this month.
They both asked to have all of their dogs returned, however Judge Frank Fregiato denied that request.
