A man accused of fatally shooting a Brooke County man sought mental health treatment after the shooting and before he was arrested in connection with the slaying.
WTOV9.COM reports 28-year old Rocco Zuccaro was arrested last week on a first-degree murder charge in Burgettstown Pennsylvania in connection with the February death of 30-year-old Jason Lee Pratz.
On Monday, a special grand jury determined Zuccaro should be charged with one count of murder in connection with the shooting death of Pratz.
Brooke County prosecutor Joe Barki says Zuccaro checked himself into an institution and sought mental health treatment for a month before his arrest, which could have an impact on how a defense attorney could represent Zuccaro.
Authorities arrested Zuccaro once he was released from that facility.
Zuccaro was taken into custody without incident on a murder warrant issued out of Brooke County.
