Authorities in Jefferson County say they have a suspect in connection with a bank robbery. 

Officials say the US Bank branch in Smithfield was robbed shortly after nine o’clock Monday morning. 

Police say the suspect walked into the bank and demanded money from a teller. 

Investigators say the man fled on foot was later caught in Beatty Park.
