A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through this afternoon as 3 to 6 inches of wet snow is expected to accumulate, especially in the higher elevations.
Road crews have been out plowing and treating area roads overnight and this morning.
Many schools have altered their schedules due to the weather conditions.
The storm system is expected to push out of the region this afternoon.
