A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting Wednesday night in Steubenville that left two people dead. 

Police tell News 9, 21-year old Ryan Toson and 19 year old Otavius Wilson both of Steubenville, were killed. 

The teenage male suspect who is also from Steubenville was arrested early Thursday. 

Officers responded to the Heritage Place apartments upper lot after reports of shots fired with at least one injury. When police arrived the victims were lying on the ground outside of 815 Market Street with apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported by ambulance to Trinity West, where they were later pronounced dead.

Detectives and agents with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted Steubenville police at the scene.
