A natural gas drilling boom is creating long lines at the Tyler County Courthouse.

County Commission President John Stender tells media outlets that companies need to verify the titles of properties they're leasing. But the records room has limited space. Some subcontractors have advertised for people to stand in line for their employees.

The County Commission has spoken to one company about the problem and plans to meet with two others this week.

Stender says county officials want to find a solution. He says drilling activity is good for the companies, the landowners and the taxpayers.
