A horse seized during a drug investigation in Hancock County has been adopted, and there is a chance that the other two remaining horses will also find permanent homes.

County officials tell News 9 several people expressed a desire to adopt the three horses.

A total of nine horses were seized by officials after the criminal investigation.

The three remaining horses are classified as special needs because of their medical conditions.

One of the special needs horses is already placed and officials say they hope to have the other two at their new homes by Monday.
